Been exploring loads of early quasi-fourth world, ethnomusicologist, earthier forms of musique-concreté, and The Loa of Music (1983) is such a standout record. Musci's reverence towards the traditional music of Loas is evident with his very real field recordings, gentle arrangements and subtle additions. Musci adds just enough to give it a bit of his style and musicality, while still feeling very authentic.

Deep, mind-bending psych. I don't know how it was put together, but it feels very organic, like early Nurse With Wound. I could see Gordon, Dilloway, and Nace sitting among a pile of junk and miles of tape, splicing together this album piece by piece.

I have been waiting for this album for 30 years. I have it on a bootleg cassett, 45 minutes of bliss, but the last seconds are not there. I am overwhelmed with joy, this is just fantastic.
